Every day, women move mountains. It is an insult to have an international women's day.

Women have been taught that, for us, the earth is flat, and that if we venture out, we will fall off the edge. Some of us have ventured out nevertheless, and so far we have not fallen off. It is my faith, my feminist faith, that we will not.

Women's particular experiences continue to shape not just their points of view but their actions, in the United States and around the world.

I feel truth, beauty, love, grief, anger, intimacy & alive in my body... Women in the global south live in their bodies much more than we in the global north. Not as distracted by patriarchy's controlling images - They know power is in their bodies. I am deeply grateful for the women who showed me the way home.

When a woman tells the truth she is creating the possibility for more truth around her.

If you cannot understand that there is something in man which responds to the challenge of this mountain and goes out to meet it, that the struggle is the struggle of life itself upward and forever upward, then you won't see why we go.

Women have the right to say: this is surface, this falsifies reality, this degrades.

There is an inevitable divergence between the world as it is and the world as men perceive it.
