This election is about who's going to be the next President of the United States!

There's this fight for the heart and soul of the Republican Party, and until that fight gets settled - because they're the majority - there's a lot of things that are pretty much on hold.

All in all this is a difficult political struggle which will go on for years, in which our people won't die anymore; I'm not sure how much we will be able to win, but I'm certain that we won't loose anything that we have now.

Listen, we're going to have to fight for every vote.

If you think too much about being re-elected, it is very difficult to be worth re-electing.

We will face the challenges head on. We will work with both parties, across the aisle, to make our state better.

We hope and we've made clear that the forces need to come out. It needs to be full and complete withdrawal. Our position is it needs to be done as soon as possible so that the elections can be free, fair and free of outside influence.

Whether it's raising the minimum wage, fixing our broken immigration system or supporting an economic climate that gives our businesses that chance to succeed, I hope to continue to fight these important battles on behalf of my constituents.

What I'm hoping to do is see Democrats get elected. That's what I'm trying to contribute to.

I hope to continue to be serving South Dakota in Congress.
