The dance world was a big part of my growing up.

I was in a competing company and have been dancing since I was four - ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop - so it's a huge part of my life and my music.

I was a dancer first, which made me realize how much I loved performing.

Since I was a child, I always loved music that made me want to dance. As a teenager, I used to dance the night away to electronic music.

My parents sent me to a dance class, so it was a road chosen by them, not me. But I enjoyed it so much I knew I would become a performer.

I used to be a dancer, and for me it was a really good combination of dance and acting.

Music is my life. I love doing it, so I just do it nonstop all day. And with dancing, I wanted to put on a show for people. I don't want to just be sitting there doing nothing, so that's when I started to dance.

I had danced with Janet Jackson and P. Diddy so I had done a bunch of hip hop. Really and truly my roots are in modern and ballet but, professionally, that's not really out there any more, unfortunately, so these artists aren't really having a lot of ballet dancers behind them so I had to learn hip hop really quick.

My mom was a dancer, my dad's a singer and I've always had that kind of music in my life.
