I've been to parties in L.A. that are mind-blowing. I mean, quite literally mind-blowing. People get cellphones in the party bag, that sort of thing. Fabulous, fabulous parties.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
My favorite thing to do in L.A. is to be in a car with friends listening to music. The perfect time is twilight, when the setting sun is filtering through the palm trees. Back in the day, we'd be listening to the Vandals, X, or Farside. Now it would be L.A.-based bands like Dum Dum Girls, Foxygen, or Ty Segall.
In L.A., it's easy to get wrapped up in this young Hollywood mess. You feel like you have to go out every night. You have to realize that you're here to work. I didn't move out here to party all the time.
In New York, we get down. In L.A., everybody's pretty much standing around like they're at a keg stand. You got to get the party started, so I just take my shirt off.
I'm not a huge L.A. fan, but I go there for the winter every year. We usually rent a house and have massive house parties.
When I tour, it's like, well, like a food tour as much as a comedy tour. I try to eat at all the weird places, the obscure barbecue joints, burger places. There are a few spots in L.A. that I'm obsessed with - one of them is the Taco Zone taco truck on Alvarado. There are secret off-menu items that are amazing.
I live in L.A., I grew up here, it's not that crazy for me because it's L.A., you know?
In L.A., you tend to see a lot of people do very bizarre things. I love it.
I love day trips around L.A. I'm a huge Disneyland junkie - I go almost every other weekend.
Does anybody actually go out in L.A.? When I lived there, I'd just stay in my apartment.
I love seeing people having fun. Everyone over in L.A. is too cool for it. That's the problem.
