President Obama is not polarizing, but the media sure is.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
It's hardly news that the Obama administration is intensely and, in many respects, unprecedentedly hostile toward the news-gathering process.
The media has been trying to protect Obama. The media has been trying to shield Obama. Several in the Republican establishment in the so-called conservative media have even been trying to shield Obama.
The two parties are still more polarized than ever before and the rise of partisan media is an important reason for it.
What I love is getting polarized opinions.
If you're not polarizing, you failed, in my opinion.
There's peacetime and there's wartime, and you don't need polarization on wartime issues. You need polarization on all other issues.
There is too much at stake for us to surrender to the politics of polarization.
The United States needs to be not so much loved as it needs to be respected. Sometimes, that requires us to take actions that generate controversy. I'm not at all sure that that's what the Obama administration believes.
I love polarizing people.
Because of the structure of the contemporary American party system, every president is polarizing.
