I, personally, do not consider myself to be some kind of Holy Mary of feminism.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
The Catholic Church has never really come to terms with women. What I object to is being treated either as Madonnas or Mary Magdalenes.
I wasn't raised Catholic; I just really like the image of a neutral and benign Mary floating around somewhere, being nice to people.
You come to a point where you give up on holding yourself to a perfect feminist ideal - it just feels stifling.
I'm not a feminist at all.
I don't consider myself as a feminist but more a humanist.
If I had been the Virgin Mary, I would have said 'No.'
I still consider myself a feminist.
I really am a feminist, though I never used to call myself that.
And the first commandment of feminism is: I am woman; thou shalt not tolerate strange gods who assert that women have capabilities or often choose roles that are different from men's.
I do consider myself to be a feminist.
