Music and songs are written at different periods of time, at different times in your life. They reflect the feelings you have and to be honest, I quite like having positive emotions.

Sometimes a song indicates that it wants to be about a certain thing. And then if you write it, you find that it is about something that you've done.

When I write a song, it is to fill a niche in people's lives. To have a song for every experience if one hadn't been written yet.

Our perception of songs that we've written... the meaning changes from day to day... to whatever stage we're at in our life and careers.

I am a songwriter. I do get to put my personal experiences in song.

My songs are all about celebrating poignant music. While some of them focus on fun and revelry, they are fortunately backed by powerful lyrics. Put together, the lyrics, tune and my voice strive to take the songs to the next level.

When you write songs, you can't really point out the exact thing you're inspired by. It's more a state or a mood or an atmosphere that you're trying to put into words.

The way I choose to show my feelings is through my songs.

I'm just writing songs about how I feel or about how people I know feel.

When I look at the majority of my own songs they really came from my own sense of personal confusion or need to express some pain or beauty - they were coming from a universal and personal place.
