The kinds of films that I'm used to doing are independent films. They're very small character-driven pieces, and there isn't as much spectacle involved.

I think I try to look at all my films and break them down because, at the end of the day, it's about creating characters that you like.

The truth is that filmmaking is not really an actor's medium; it's really a director's medium, so all I can really control is the character that I'm playing. I know people from working with them on films, but they're not the ones I would meet up with... I'm just a normal person!
