You have got to field well. If you don't bat well, you can still make a difference by fielding well. There are times I have played games just because of my fielding.

I used to be a pretty good hit-and-run man when I played in the minors. I handled the bat well and could hit the ball to the right side of the infield. Nevertheless, I know that you often give the opposition an out on the hit-and-run play.

If I'm playing higher up the pitch, it's important I don't get carried away and start dropping too deep and I stay in my position.

I think I play center field better than I do anywhere else. I have enough speed and enough reaction to know where the ball goes off the bat.

Obviously, a lot of things play on your mind when you're batting. This might happen and this might not. The best thing you can do when you're batting is not to think too much, and wait for the next ball.
