My thoughts about God are vague and abstract. My connection with the energy of the universe is shaky.

When I talk about God, I'm not necessarily talking about religion. To me, God is the energy and light that each of us carries.

My sense of religion is Einstein's sense of relativity. I don't believe in God. I believe that energy never dies. So the possibility exists that you might be breathing in some other form of Moses or Buddha or Muhammad or Bobby Kennedy or Roosevelt or Martin Luther King or Jesus.

As an individual, I think you have to find your own path. I like the simplicity and purity of Hinduism and many elements of Buddhism. These are all means of accessing spiritual energy.

I am an agnostic, even though I respect and am interested in all religions. If there's something I believe in, it's a mysterious energy; the one that fills the oceans during tides, the one that unites nature and beings.

My views about God come from my dad. Dad told me that he believed Nature, which to him included humankind, to be so beautiful, so magnificent, that there had to be something behind it all.

I think the appropriate response for a physicist is: 'I do not find the concept of God very interesting, because I cannot test it.'

Quantum physics is quite interesting. All these tiny particles are there as much as they're not there. That to me is very, very interesting. And how our thoughts change the outcome of an experiment, I think that's all quite spiritual.

I am fascinated in religion and theology and what people believe.

God's Spirit moves through us and the world at a pace that can never be constricted by any one religious paradigm. I love that.
