I'm just basically trying to make music that feels good. Right now in the music industry there's a real lack of intimacy. You don't really connect with the artist as much anymore, and you don't really understand where they are. I'm basically doing music that illustrates who I am and where I am in my life.

How I set myself apart is by creating the sort of real and honest music, which is who I'm also trying to be.

My music started as a way to break through weaknesses - like anxiety, which was completely taking over my whole life, where I could barely function.

I've been making music for a long time, since I was very young, but at the same time, I'm still exploring what works for me. I feel like I'm just starting out.

Each time I seem to go through one of life's huge things, I want to play music.

I don't even know what made me start wanting to do music. It just... happened. Because I sat in my basement all the time, and music was my best friend, and I just wanted to be a part of it.

My music - that's the one area I won't let myself be pushed around. But in other parts of my life, I'm a confused mess.

My goal was always to be involved in music that would outlive me. And maybe that's actually happening.

Sometimes it's hard to open up about your personal life, your relationship because you always want the music to be in the forefront. You want the music to be the biggest carrier of everything that you represent.

Life can be challenging and sad... but music is the easy part.
