Underneath all the skin, we're all the same.

The color of somebody's skin or the way he wears his hair or clothes has nothing to do with anything.

The whole world, as we experience it visually, comes to us through the mystic realm of color.

I'm a multi-faceted woman and person, like all women are - there's no black and white. We have shades of grey in the middle. And even many more colours that other people don't see!

Although skin color is undoubtedly the most salient signal of racial identity in America, other actual or imagined bodily features have also been seen as distinctive markers of Negritude. These include the shapes of heads, feet, lips, and noses as well as the texture of hair.

I have six brothers and sisters. We all look totally different: blonde hair, curly hair, green eyes, dark eyes, dark skin, light skin. It's just how it is.

For me, you don't ever want to be defined by the color of your skin. You want to be defined by your work ethic, the person that you are, your character, your personality. That's what I've tried to go out and do.

Nothing is out of our realm, because it has nothing to do with color. As black people, we're not different from anyone else, other than the exterior.

I do think I tend to have a darker nature than most.

We are all somewhere or the other a little grey, not black and white. We have our imperfections.
