That's what I enjoy most about my music - that it heals in its own time and makes us look at ourselves in its own time.

A lot of times, I don't feel responsible for the songs myself. But that's my job or my place in life: to keep my search and catch the ideas before they pass me by.

I feel this music has nurtured me as I've been immersing myself in it. I've felt supported by it.

I connect emotionally to these songs. I mean what I say when I say it, and that allows your audience to connect. That's the number-one reason why any music is successful, because you make people feel something.

The way I choose to show my feelings is through my songs.

It's the coolest part about writing music. I don't know how other people work, but so much is derived from some amalgamation of all these different songs that I love. That's why they jump all over the place.

Well, first of all, they're all about the music and all I care about in my professional career is the music.

I feel my live shows are my music; everything blossoms from the live shows.

My songs are the reflection of how I think and how I feel in that moment. But I'm conscious of the fact that artists have a responsibility before the masses and they have to take care with their words.

With most of the songs and music that I've composed, irrespective of the myriad videos made, I was always careful not to overly define the experience, leaving room for people to internalize things for themselves, making their experience more integral.
