The release of 'Chinese Democracy' marks a historic moment in rock n' roll.

Hopefully it will be possible to get all our other albums in American shops one day so if people are interested they can hear it but I'm hoping that people are going to be interested in what we are going to do, not just what we've done.

The world has accelerated to the point that, as far as the album as a form, I don't know if it's going to last that much longer.

Chinese artists have been subversive over thousands of years, taking what they think of the government and embedding it in their art. There might be censorship of not going as far as they might.

We have been trying to play a lot of different kinds of music, and probably the next album will go back more towards the direction where you couldn't classify each song as a certain kind of music. This album you can.

I do believe that the Chinese are becoming international leaders in showing the way forward for concert music.
