I really love going back home. I think going back to a nice, relaxed little town is the best way to do it.

I just thought that I had had my fill for a while and wanted to have a family. My husband was moving to Chicago for his job. And so I went along. And it was a great thing that I did.

My old man was a musician - that's what he did for a living. And like most fathers, occasionally he'd let me visit where he worked. So I started going to his recording studio, and I really dug it.

I have really fond memories of growing up in Chicago, and I always love going back. I still have a lot of really good friends from high school that I go to dinner with. It's kind of become a tradition when I go out there to do a show to give a few friends a call, tell some funny stories about high school and walk down memory lane.

I'm a dad and a husband, and so the things that I love to do are all geared around my family.

Some of my family goes back a long way in Denver.

I have to be very careful about how often I drag my family to places. They need some stability in their lives.

We've been back since July, but I spent some time with the family in the south of France over the summer. We rented a house with another couple and took it easy.
