I loved acting when I was doing it, but getting the jobs I didn't understand because I'd never had to do it. That was a difficult lesson for me. It was very humbling and very bizarre.

I learned much more about acting from philosophy courses, psychology courses, history and anthropology than I ever learned in acting class.

Acting is just something I always knew I wanted to do - acting and writing.

I had a great acting teacher in high school. But I didn't like acting because it took too many people to get the job done. You have to talk to too many people and listen to others' opinions. With music, you get a few friends together and just make it.
