St. Louis has always been special to me.

St. Louis is still a special place for me. I still have my home there. I live there in the offseason. I enjoyed playing in front of 40,000 people every day. I tried to do my best to help the organization win. I had success there. We won two World Series. We went to three. That's something you can't take from me.

I'm just really appreciative of the loyal fans in St. Louis who just lost their team. It's not an easy situation to go through. On the other hand, we have to move forward.

I think the preponderant opinion clearly was that St. Louis could be a great football city if it had a team of its own that they could really root for.

From where we lived, to practise in St Louis was an hour-and-a-half drive each way, so that took a lot of the time. So really, our lives just took different paths.
