I became an art major, took every art class my school had to offer. In college, I majored in Advertising Art and Design.

I never really considered acting as a career. I kind of fell into it. Originally, I wanted to be a painter.

I studied business and also studied film, then I graduated, and I worked at a network. I was able to use my business skills there - I was an associate producer for a little bit.

You know, I like playing music and playing guitar, and I like to draw, so I thought I would end up just probably barely making a living, or probably having to have some other job, but being involved in one of those things that I really like to do. But that didn't work out like that.

I had a degree in economics but also thought of myself as a musician.

I was a Fine Art major. You do a bit of everything until the final year, when you specialise. I did pencil drawing and sculpture. It's a pretty well-rounded fine art education. I thought that it was viable option to make a living out of art. I'm not sure if I was thinking realistically; maybe I never was. But it had great appeal.

When I was a teenager, my dad watched my films and told me I could go to art college and study animation. He made me see that I could do this for a living.

They say the average person can't make a living in art... but if you tell me there's something I can't do, that's what I have to do.
