Lighting is an essential way to change the mood of a room, especially if you can use dimmers.

The most important thing is to cleanse and moisturise your face twice a day. Use eye drops. If your eyes are white, you look healthy; you look fresh. Every man should have a magnifying mirror. If you look good magnified, you are set to go.

I always recommend rewiring vintage lighting. It's not a bargain if your house burns down.

I really don't think plastic surgery is a good idea. People who've had it done don't look younger or better, they just look like they've had plastic surgery.

You can sometimes avoid costly mistakes. Paint a corner of the room a certain color to see how the light affects it. Or buy just one yard of an expensive fabric to see how you like it in your room.

I know what I want to look like. I don't want to look trashy. I want mothers to be able to look at me and not have to close their kids' eyes!

By appreciating the darkness when you design the light, you create much more interesting environments that truly enhance our lives.

When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat.
