For Hollywood to make 'Spider-Man,' only to redo the movie a couple years later, just boggles the mind. To recast 'The Incredible Hulk' for a third time? I don't get it.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I did my 'Hulk,' but it was not easy. If I do another Hulk film it will always be compared to the Ang Lee thing, and my first one... if I come back, I'd love to do another superhero, something different that I can really put my touch on.
Yes, 'Spider-Man' has had an infinite capacity to trouble and disappoint. But it's also been the greatest triumph of my entire career.
The Hulk has an awesome superpower. He turns into this giant monster that can eliminate several dudes at once.
But with my last film, Spider it was agony. The money was always disappearing, nobody got paid, it was very difficult - and it's very distracting from the process of making the movie, of course. So I think things have been getting harder and harder.
I don't think anybody else can play the Hulk like I could. I was able to show emotions even with all of the makeup. I don't think it can be duplicated.
The Hulk was a unique character because of his strength and power. He doesn't have a costume like Spiderman or like Superman - The Hulk is more visual. His passion and his strength, that is what separates him from anything else.
I liked 'The Incredible Hulk' as a kid.
I always say it's very difficult when you're tackling something like 'Spider-Man' or 'Batman' that has been done so many times before.
If I'd been offered 'Spider-Man,' I probably would have done it. I don't think it's bad to go and do those things.
As long as you don't think about the whole big picture, producing 'Spider-Man' is a fantastic experience.
