I can't tell you how hard I worked the last year. In fact, I worked so hard that I know I can't maintain that same work level in 2001, so I've got to quit something.

They say you can do honest, sincere work for decades, but you're given in general a 10-year period when what you do touches the zeitgeist - when you're relevant. And I'm aware of that, and I don't want my time to go by.

My entire career, I've been a worker.

So if you see Ten Years After, it's not me anymore. I'm very happy with what I am doing now.

I want to build something I'd be happy to be employed by 10 years out.
