It is my intention to present - through the medium of photography - intuitive observations of the natural world which may have meaning to the spectators.

I'm attempting to broaden my novels' scope through landscape and weather, leaves falling off trees, overnight storms, timeless elements which, irrespective of human endeavour, have always been there and, as long as there is life and snow, will always be there.

Photography is about finding out what can happen in the frame. When you put four edges around some facts, you change those facts.

We have changing weather patterns, and we have climate change. This is the science. I hope that my party will come to be comfortable with this because we have to operate in the realm of knowledge and science.

Painting, n.: The art of protecting flat surfaces from the weather, and exposing them to the critic.

Visual ideas combined with technology combined with personal interpretation equals photography. Each must hold it's own; if it doesn't, the thing collapses.

Basically, I really love work that puts the reader into a kind of vertigo, into a real doubt, and a beautiful way to convey that, a really perfect metaphor for that, is to make the reader also experience doubt.

A change in the weather is sufficient to recreate the world and ourselves.
