We need a new religion.
The women's movement will present a growing threat to patriarchal religion less by attacking it than by simply leaving it behind.

What I hope to do in the States is to break up this stereotyping of Muslims and Arabs. I mean, we are basically the only sub-culture that is not represented in Hollywood. And it's funny because everybody is talking about the Muslim world and the Arab world, and we are not represented.
These days politics, religion, media seem to get all mixed up. Television became the new religion a long time back and the media has taken over.
The world needs more women filmmakers, so we have to keep encouraging ourselves and one another, and eventually things must get easier for us.
