It's kind of like I'm Phil Spector, and I'm forcing a young girl to make pop music and perform exhaustively. Except, instead of it being someone else, that girl is also me.

When I perform on stage, I often pretend to be someone other than myself to bring a certain emotion or intent to a song.

Music isn't what I do. It's who I am.

You get to a point where it's like you can't really do anything right, and people will pick on you for whatever decisions you make, so I just try and take no notice and get on with my music.
