I don't spend a lot of time watching my performances after the fact. I suck at playing video games, but I'm a fan of the creativity, the brilliance, and the possibility of the industry.

A performance is only as good as the audience you are playing to. A lot of times you feed off of the audience, and we always try to give them all we've got and sometimes you don't get a lot back, but we've never been dead whenever we've performed.

I never doubted my talent. If talent was the circus, then I was its ringmaster and audience, applauding its every move.

I'm not a great player, but I'm a damn good one.

You can only be as good as your audience. Sometimes you can be as bad as your audience, but you have to remember you can never be better than them.

I was cocky and arrogant when I was younger. I thought that if I delivered a good performance, and put my best foot forward, that would be enough to get people's attention. So in my naivety, I cut my legs off at the knees, because I didn't realize that oftentimes it doesn't matter about the performance... it's the media that creates stars.

We live surrounded by critics, so let them talk, let them criticize me as much as they want. Ultimately, that makes me a better player.

Every performer can get better. It's not about staying with what God gave you and doing nothing with it for the rest of your life.
