I'm attracted to roles that are unpredictable, and if I can get my hands on something like that, I'm thrilled. I like performances where you don't know what's coming, moment to moment.

I guess you could say it's always been my destiny to be a performer.

I think that more and more there's a sense that the best performances I can give are the ones that are the truest to who I am. The further I move away from who I am, the worse they are.

What I really like seeing from the stage is people having their own moments, when people are doing some performance of their own.

I think that will be a lot of fun for audiences to get the same stream of consciousness that was going through my head at the time. It was very exciting to suddenly recall what I was feeling at the time.

So many nights I'm up there on stage and I wish everybody out in the audience could see what I see and feel what I feel.

I'd like to think my performance is today. I never try to - it's so, as you know, watching me, I have a beginning, middle and ending. But every night the show changes and I relate to an audience and I relate to the young people.

I don't want to talk about the specifics of other people's performances compared with my own. I'd never do that.

I enjoy all kinds of performances and take each role differently. I keep the audiences in mind.

It hurts me to consider anybody questioning my performances.
