I don't believe in bright, cheesy colors that are applied from roots to tips. I'm not really into that. But I love the more fashion-y way of adding color to your hair methodically.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
I used to experiment all the time with my hair color.
When I was a kid, I always wanted to dye my hair crazy colors.
It's easiest for me to be blonde because I'm naturally blonde; my roots are light enough that all I have to do is just highlight my hair every few months.
I never really dyed my hair anything significant from my natural hair color.
Once you dye your hair for the first time, you see other people with dyed hair, and you see them differently than you did before. And you're just like 'Yes! Live! Work that color! Yes, I love you in every way! You're killin' it! I want to do that color next!'
You know, I change my hair color a lot, I do all sorts of different things.
When my hair was dark for 'House,' that was the hardest to maintain because it was like every three weeks my light roots would start coming in. And you can't really just dye your hair one color brown because then it looks like a helmet on television, so then I had to have four colors of brown woven into my hair every three weeks.
The crazy colors tend to wash out so quick. Basically, it ensures that you never wash your hair, so it starts to do some cool stuff.
I've had watermelon hair where I had pink with green tips. From the age of 13 to about 19 or 20, I never had my real hair color.
I've never dyed my hair or even gotten highlights. All the products I need for my hair are at the drugstore!
