I don't actually sit down and write, but I just have a lot of different ideas about films and making movies.

Since I began making movies, I've always looked for screenwriters instead of going through the long and painful process of writing.

I wanted to be a writer, but the idea of writing novels or movies seemed really intimidating. I never got more than a few pages into one.

Directing is not on my agenda, but writing is. I want to write everything from action, superhero films to quiet dramas, smaller films.

I've never written a movie, I'm not in the movie business. I go out to L.A. and I'm like everyone else wandering around in a daze hoping I see movie stars. I write the novels that the movies are based on, and that feels like enough of a job for me.

I just really loved films and thought I should be writing screenplays.

I want to get into producing and writing more for myself - setting up my own films and seeing what kind of personal touch I can put on movies, as opposed to just being in them.

As a writer, all you want to do is write for great actors. That's all.

I love making fiction films as well as nonfiction ones, and hope to keep challenging myself to make better and better work.
