Controversial means somebody who makes people think. And if you are afraid of people who will be against you, you might as well stay home and do nothing.

I think if I'm controversial it's not because I set out to be. It's because I've never felt comfortable being part of someone else's mainstream community.

I like controversy. The more controversial it gets, the more interesting it is.

I like the idea that my audience doesn't see what I do as controversial.
