My family's journey is something I am very proud of - in front of me, behind me and every part.

Family is very important to me. People often ask me how I managed to stay grounded and sane, having started as a child star and growing up in the industry, and really, it's God. But it's also my family and God in my family.

In hindsight, I see the great value of family and how it moulded my life and kept me together. So now family means everything to me.

I'm really blessed to have an amazing family.

My parents, who were split up, were so good at keeping my environment strong and keeping everything around me not focused on the fact that we were poor. They got me culture. They took me to museums. They showed art to me. They read to me. And my mother drove two hours a day to take me to University Elementary School.
