I always knew I wanted to have children.

Having children is life-changing, to state the obvious. It's a gigantic shift in your life and I welcomed it.

To me, having kids is the ultimate job in life. I want to be most successful at being a good father.

Having children is the greatest thing that can happen to you as a husband and wife. They are infuriating at times when they're little, but on the whole, they're such a joy. I don't think I was the most brilliant mother when they were young. I had quite a bit of help because I was working and I enjoyed my work.

Having kids has been great for me. I have two beautiful step- kids, as well as my own new daughter. They've really helped me to keep my feet firmly on the ground, and life is good. I feel like I'm the luckiest guy here.

So many people have so much trouble having kids.

And you know when I was growing up, I knew I wanted to have kids, but I knew I didn't want to do it alone. Then once I was 41, 42, I had to accept that I probably wouldn't have kids unless I decided to adopt later on, but even then it would be with a partner.

I can't wait to have kids one day. Yeah. Definitely. That's the ultimate goal in life, for myself. I think that's the ultimate blessing.

I just ultimately wanted to be a mother. I love children.
