I grew up studying dance, taking ballet lessons.

And I just thought, this is what I want to be. And I knew that dancing would be my chosen profession.

I'm continuing the educational process of getting people to accept dance as music.

When I was 13, I moved from New Jersey to Germany with my family. The high school was so supportive of my dream to continue with my theater training; instead of taking PE, I would get credit for dance lessons.

I studied dance at a high school arts magnet program before moving on to Miami's New World School of the Arts, and from there, I went on to study at The Juilliard School.

I still study dance, and it's definitely something I want to incorporate in the future. It's always been my first love.

There's this certain caliber of dancing I was striving for when I was younger, and it's very hard for me to go back and just do it for fun. But I take all other kinds of classes: I take jazz classes, modern classes, and I love doing that instead of going to the gym. The gym is not very much fun.

I've been in dance schools since I was four. I went to the Brit school. I did adverts and plays.
