I think being the conventional beauty is limiting, so I'm glad I'm not that. If I looked different, I wouldn't have the great opportunities I've had.

My hair was so much a part of my personality and all my photo shoots. I hid behind my hair. And then, I just decided I was okay with myself. To have short hair and really show my face is even more revealing than anything. It's a statement - not to everyone else, more to myself. I'm just ready to get out from behind my hair and be myself.

I don't see myself as beautiful. I was a kid who was freckle-faced, and they used to call me 'hay head.'

Whether you're tall or shorter, or a little bigger, more curves, skinny - you just have to be proud of what you have, and everyone is beautiful.

I am not trying to conform to an unrealistic model of beauty. I am, however, being proactive in being the healthiest I can be.

I'm flatchested, I'm short, I'm brunette, I have droopy eyes, and so people have a hard time casting me as a 'beauty.'

Like most guys, I don't come to beauty regimes naturally. I'm dragged kicking and screaming by the best in the world.

Being in the beauty industry has taught me that most of us are never satisfied with how we look. We all wish we had better hair, could lose that last 10 pounds, or look like someone else. I always see the beauty in the clients that have sat in my chair, and I've tried to help them see it, too, and feel good about themselves.

I wish I was taller or curvier, but I'm happy with the way I look.
