I just enjoy being onstage and relating to the audience.

For me, music is so passionate, I have to give it my all every time I go onstage. Onstage, it was always comfortable for me, because that's where I felt at home.

Performing is my passion. Being onstage is at once exhilarating, beguiling, and fulfilling. But it's hard.

I feel like I have a job to do, like I constantly have to reinvent myself. The more I up the ante for myself, the better it is in the long run. I try to interact with my fans as much as possible. It's good that the person I'm being onstage isn't really an act. It's really me.

I love being onstage. I love the relationship with the audience. I love the letting go, the sense of discovery, the improvising.

One of the most wonderful things for me is to watch somebody else perform, where I am the audience - I love this more than ever.

I feel like what I owe my audience is what I'm most passionate about.
