I don't have any weird night rituals. I definitely am a ritualistic person... I like to go downstairs and remind my roommate-drummer not to practice early the next morning, so I can sleep in.

I definitely am a ritualistic person.
I record all night and sleep all day. It started because you're excited about the music and you want to stay up longer, but over 15 years, it's become a habit. In my circle, I think a lot of musicians operate like this. When the place is quiet, you're more creative. I have plenty of people I can call at 4 A.M. and know they'll be up.
I believe in rituals.
I do love the idea of ritual.
Bedtime rituals for children ease the way to the elsewhere of slumber - teeth brushing and pajamas, the voice of a parent reading, the feel and smell of the old blanket or toy, the nightlight glowing in a corner.
I conduct all my nighttime activities under the assumption that my wife is awake, that she never falls asleep.
But, you know, they don't enjoy the dinner hour together. It's just not as much of a ritual at night and it's interesting. I think the ritual is taking place perhaps more in the morning.
I'm a night person; I don't usually get up till noon.
My morning ritual is to get up and feed the dogs, take my daughter to school, and come home.
I do have rituals. I'm a fairly superstitious person.
