With the NBA's dress code, I had to revamp my wardrobe a little bit. They call it 'business casual.' You have to wear dress jeans or dress slacks, with a collared shirt or sweater. And you can't wear athletic shoes.

Guys is supposed to be able to be original and dress like how they want to dress. The NBA can't dress no grown man.

Because of the makeup of the NBA, it cannot afford for the public to turn on them.

The NBA's a Fortune 500 company. That's how you look at it. And all the other Fortune 500 companies out there in the world, you don't see their CEOs and COOs going to work with white tees and baggy clothes and stuff like that. So I have to take that same approach.

First impressions matter more in basketball than in any other sport, and they can be savored only in person. Players can't hide behind pads or helmets, so we can stare at them, evaluate every move they make: running, jumping, walking, even ogling the cheerleaders. We can see every ripple and tattoo. If they're lazy, we can tell.

You see a whole bunch of different looks in the NBA. Guys, like LeBron, have stylists now, and they do their own thing. Then you have Russell Westbrook, whose style is a little different. Every guy is wearing outfits to show their personality.
