I love stories about women.

As a male writer, women are always what men pursue, and their world is always a mystery. So I always tried to present as many views as possible on women's worlds.

One of the more interesting challenges I face when doing research for my novels is to trace the lives of women who are vital to the narrative and try my best to give them back their voices.

Women who have strong identities, who know themselves, really inspire me.

Women inspire me. Women in the airports, around the country in different cities, destinations around the world, inspire me with the way they express their individuality. I love watching women and discovering all the ways each person uses a color, pattern, a style, even a lipstick color. I'm a people watcher.

Every woman inspires me.

In general, I'm fascinated by women who exist outside of society's mores and values.

I tend to lean toward strong female stories. I want to make things that don't already exist out there.

I'm still very interested in telling one-of-a-kind women's stories.
