Sometimes I don't want to be in the confines of what a band seems to provide.

Creating sounds together with other musicians is something I've always liked doing.

I don't think anyone has exhausted the range of sound possible in a conventional rock band, but people do become slaves to their own easiest techniques.

I agree with the rest of the band, that a truly synthesized sound isn't really what I would want to go for.

We've worked very hard as a band and would like to think we've got this far on the strength of our music.

It doesn't matter how good you are as a band or how good your music may be; if the fans aren't supporting it and buying your music, it's hard to make it.

I've created several musical trends, really. That's not because I'm so far out and fabulous. It's because most bands have no ideas of their own. They're so desperate they'll grab at any old straw.

The truth is I want to make music that people enjoy.

But it can be hard to experiment when you're in a band.

Joining a band without ever having really met the people before, you just want to be musically powerful.
