I brought a lot of my own pieces of clothes to the design room when I first met with the design team just so they could see what my style was like.

I decorated my house like a medieval gothic castle, European-style. Chandeliers and red velvet curtains. My bedroom is pink and black, my bathroom is totally Hello Kitty, I have a massive pink couch and a big antique gold cross.

My personal decorating style is cozy, romantic and a little rustic, with a sense of whimsy.

The thing that makes my clothes really different is that, number one, they are really great designs; they're not tacky; they are very professional; the design is made from lots of decisions.

As a designer, you are flattered to see anyone in one of your designs, whether it's on a red carpet or passing by you in the market. It's this wonderful little high every time.

I used to love a well-arranged room: the furniture, the fabric, the lighting.

Fashion and decor should amuse you and your friends.

I'm so unmaterialistic in every way. If you saw my apartment, it would explain a lot, I think. It's not so much a mess, but it just needs to have some feng shui or a real 'Queer Eye' makeover or whatever.

Colors and prints are part of my style.

I love to decorate a room - from the furniture to the objects to the books.
