Billy Konchellah with his World Championship titles, Paul Ereng with his Olympic gold and Wilson Kipketer with his World records are my role models.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
One guy that really inspired me was Michael Jordan. I wouldn't say that he inspired me as a sportsman, but I love going back and watching videos of him, especially how he conducts himself in interviews. He always seemed to be very careful about the words that he used and thought about everything differently to anybody else.
I had some great role models along the way. My on-field heroes were the great Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, and Willie Mays. I wanted to be like them on the field, and I am so damn proud to join them in the Hall of Fame.
My lifetime role model and hero is Freddie Mercury of Queen.
I was a fan of Lance Armstrong, and I remember watching him win the Worlds in '93 in Oslo.
Franz Klammer was my great idol in my younger years.
My dream role is Jack Johnson, the first black heavyweight champion.
Raymond Floyd. The man knows how to control situations. He was experienced. He didn't let me get overly excited; he kept me in check. It allowed me to free myself up, and I played really well with him.
My role model, my idol, was Francois Truffaut.
Growing up, Michael Jordan was my Olympic hero.
My sporting hero was Drazen Petrovic, the NBA basketball player, who was killed in a car accident in 1993. He was a good friend, an unbelievable player, and I dedicated my Wimbledon win to him.
