I supported Arizona's immigration law by joining in that lawsuit to defend it. Every day I have Texans on that border that are doing their job.

I'm in favor of building the fence, and doing everything technologically to protect our borders. But the other way to secure the border, and one of the things we must do, is put in place good guest-worker programs that employers can actually use.

Texas has done a very good job of securing their borders with the help of the federal government. California has done a good job.

There is overwhelming bipartisan support outside of Washington that we need to finally secure our borders, enforce our laws, and stop the problem of illegal immigration.

If you like Texas and you like our economy, I helped create all that and all those jobs and you will love it when David Dewhurst goes to Washington.
