I think you can do anything with comics that you could do in just about any art form.

You can give some kind of spark of life to a comic that a photograph doesn't really have. A photograph, even if it's connecting with you, it seems very dead on the page sometimes.

I'm making the art for me first. I'm making it because these are the pictures I want to see. I'm making pictures that don't yet exist.

I'm sure that no matter what I'm involved in, I'll always be doing comics, at least in some minor capacity.

I've done illustration on the side. But other than that, comics have been my main things.

The comics were not only stories to enjoy; for me they were drawings that possessed me.

I paint what cannot be photographed, that which comes from the imagination or from dreams, or from an unconscious drive.
