I'm just basically trying to make music that feels good. Right now in the music industry there's a real lack of intimacy. You don't really connect with the artist as much anymore, and you don't really understand where they are. I'm basically doing music that illustrates who I am and where I am in my life.

Any time I sit down and write music, the first part of that is always centering myself and thinking about who I currently am.

But I'm also a music lover, and I'll always try a lot of different things.

Music is what I do naturally.

Sometimes I feel like music has made love to me.

In my old age, my mind gets more open, and I listen to so many different types of music and I guess that all reflects in my work.
