I've played shows with injuries before but unfortunately cannot overcome having no voice.

I try to have my voice be heard, but not on a regular basis on TV.
Something like Deckard Cain is great; it doesn't ruin your voice. But games that involve violence or battle or mutating and stuff like that really does take a toll on your voice. And I've even had to start to go to a voice guru kind of guy to do exercises to try to save and get back some of what I lost.
You can't acquire a voice. Either you have it, or you don't.
You have to do real acting, not just do a voice.
But I've had to act and not depend on my voice so much.
I haven't done a lot of voice work, but I know that a lot of shows will just bring in the actors individually, and they will just do what is on the paper. You miss out on that connection of having everyone there.
I don't really strain my voice.
I've abused myself a lot over the years. But my voice is still intact - really, it's better.
Trying to give an individual a voice has always kind of been my mission in my life. As an actor, I've always seen that was something that needed to be done. You need to find that voice inside of you so that you can stand up and be who you really are.
While my speech is getting better every day, throughout my recovery, I have been able to sing to some extent.
