There is a rising generation in this country who do not know God because of a general decay of religion.

People know they are lacking something, they are constantly wanting some kind of spiritual guidance.

Children touch all of our lives. We all have the opportunity to sow seeds into the next generation, and there's nothing more important that we can leave on this earth than a legacy of faith, hope, and confidence in our God.

There's a generation of people I think without a strong connection to family, to religion, to civic duty. They have a real disassociation from the problems of the world.

People just overshoot trying to find God. They're going outside and trying everything. They don't realize that it's right inside themselves.

Young people all over the world are very frustrated. They are very disillusioned. Many of them are turning their backs on religion. They are walking away from the faith of their parents, and most of this is because religion has failed them.

It is fortunate that each generation does not comprehend its own ignorance. We are thus enabled to call our ancestors barbarous.

While the older generation is content to sit around and critique culture, that culture is moving beyond them. At some point the traditional church and all of the expressions of that church will become essentially irrelevant.

That sense of sacredness, that thinking in generations, must begin with reverence for this earth.
