I know I always worked hard on making sure we came out with the best possible product and of course we were working with four other people, you have to balance that as well.

When you do everything to make the very best product, it also means you're very focused on just a few products.

Since your company is the product that makes all of your other products, it should be the best product of all. When you begin to think of your company this way, you evaluate it differently. You ask different questions about it. You look at improving it constantly, rather than just accepting what it's become.

Everything's a lot easier when you work with someone you know just about as well as you know yourself.

People say you've got to be OK with your own company, but tell me why?

It's not easy to work with me, I recognize that. It's not easy if those people aren't as perfectionistic as I am.

I worked with some wonderful people, tried my best and I feel comfortable.

When you are truly interested in other people, you will learn what they are interested in and if they have a need for your product. If they like you, and most people like folks who take an interest in them, they'll help you find people who do need what you have to sell, even if they don't.

Once you start thinking more about where you want to be than about making the best product, you're screwed.

Working with the same people is so much quicker and frees up your energy for other things.
