There are a lot of other things in this world that can and will bring me joy. Acting is one of them.

I think the reason I'm an actor is the joy I find from escaping and going to be somebody else. That's what I have fun doing.

The joy we get as actors is out of transforming ourselves into something that's not necessarily anything true to ourselves. And it's a power - not being yourself, and being in the role; it's just like another prop.

I have a fine level of recognition in the business and among the acting community now, so I consider myself one of the lucky ones. If I didn't think that, there would be something wrong with me. I'm grateful and thankful for what I've got.
