In recent years, Ronaldo is the example: wherever you put him in the attacking three, he's going to make an impact and the opposition are going to fear him. Being a constant threat, that's what I need to develop.

Thinking about your role will automatically get you in the frame of mind to get your strategy and game plan right before you step onto that field.

I probably visualize myself, the shots I'm going to get in the game, how I'm going to play defense, what we have to do to stop the other team's best player, what it's going to take out of me, the whole aspect of the game.

I spend the entire 90 minutes looking for space on the pitch. I'm always between the opposition's two holding midfielders and thinking, 'The defence is here, so I get the ball and I go there to where the space is.'

The key for me is movement. When the ball comes into the box, or when the wide players get it, that's where I have to be clever and make my runs. That's where I come alive.

I know that I'm a natural attacking player. I love to attack. I love to play freely; I love to combine and play through balls. That's the nature of my game.

But I got a guy on third, I was in a jam the other day in a game, all those situations, when you need a strikeout there, in big spots. But we are very aware of that fact, that these guys put the ball in play.

If you can defend, counter-attack and take the initiative then you become a more dangerous player.
