There are so many things you can do with a culinary degree.

I went to school for culinary arts. I love to cook. That's a talent not a lot of people know about.

So I quit my job and went to the New England Culinary Institute for the full two years and worked in the restaurant industry after that until finally I thought I had a grasp on what I needed to do what I do.

I was good at math and science, and I got lots of degrees in lots of things, but in a parallel universe, I probably became a chef.

I had a doctorate in biological anthropology. I got a post-doc at CWRU dental school in 1983 teaching gross anatomy.

I've never gone to culinary school, but I do love cooking.
