The sad thing about any business I suppose, but in mine you see it particularly, is that you're always asked to do what you've already done.

A lot of people, most people who are working, they do it for money. And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. I've never, ever taken a role for money purposes or for some bizarre notion of what may be the kind of career move that would open things up for me. If I don't believe in it, I can't do it because I won't be good in it if I don't believe in it.

I feel very lucky that I've been able to carve out any niche at all in this business. It's so hard to get into.

I always feel like 'as long as I'm doin' what I love to do, the money's naturally gonna come.' When you start thinkin' business and you start thinkin' 'What's hot? What's the wave? Who is hot? Let's get at that person,' it becomes a point where you're tryin' to strategize to make money. And that's always a gamble.

I always knew that I wanted to do something in business and I prepared myself for that.
